You have to follow a financial diet when you lose your job as you don’t know the specific period for which you are unemployed. While you are making a budget you have to remember that the budget that you are creating is not forever, you are creating it to get off some of the financial stress during unemployment. But it should be adjustable as when you will get a new job, this survival; budget can be changed to suit the long term needs. Therefore you have to take the decisions in the budget that are made keeping in mind the long term benefits. While easing the financial stress don’t take the decisions that you will regret afterwards.

You can start a budget including the income you saved by the previous employment and the expenses you have to make.
