Arrears

Any person with a mortgage non-repayment problem can receive a lot of useful advice from the financial advisors out there. If you are not able to make your mortgage repayments on time, if you are suffering from arrears or are about to do so, then there is no use of playing the ostrich game. Instead you have to get up and do something to get your credit record back on track. It is important for you to immediately get in contact with your money lenders and inform them about your financial problems and your inability to make your repayments for a specific period of time.

Almost all lenders have a plan for dealing with borrowers who are no longer able to meet their mortgage repayments. As they never want to get caught up in any unnecessary legal and financial complications and do not want you to file bankruptcy, they will do their best to help you with your repayments. They may revise your repayment plan so that you can make your repayments in an easy way, may deduct some rate of interest so that it becomes easy for you to make your repayments or may even write off some part of your loan amount. They may also be lenient enough to save you from making payments for a few months. Most of the money lenders do not want to take a strict action against the borrowers and will appreciate their honesty to inform them about their inability to repay the loan.

If you are not able to make your repayments and try to avoid your lenders, hide out from them and do not take their calls, then they will be left with no other option but to take an action against you. Therefore, it is wise to contact your lenders and negotiate with them to make a workable plan. There are several non-profit companies in UK who want to help people suffering from arrears and will advise you appropriately if you contact them. Your lenders should be the first person to contact if you realise that you will no longer be able to make your repayments as they will usually be always ready to help you. Not only this, they are also required by law to take the critical situation of the borrowers into account and treat them in an informative, helpful and fair manner. If you remain honest with your money lenders, they will be ready to arrange an easy repayment plan for you, at least for some time during which you can try to get on your feet again financially.
